We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Manager for a manufacturing facility in Cullman, AL. The ideal candidate would have hands-on experience in IBM Series 7 systems and AS/400 environments and help drive innovation, reliability, and efficiency across our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring system uptime and performance across all departments.
- Manage and maintain IBM Series 7 and AS/400 systems, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and integration with manufacturing software.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to align IT systems with business needs.
- Lead small-scale IT projects, including hardware/software upgrades and network/coding improvements.
- Ensure data security, backup integrity, and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on systems and software.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT procedures and systems.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with IBM Series 7 and AS/400 systems in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration.
- Knowledge and troubleshooting for hardware issues (laptops, printers, phones, etc…)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices.
- Knowledge of compliance standards relevant to manufacturing (e.g., ISO, NIST).
