Athena Sciences Corporation seeks a biometric software engineer to join a team working for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM).
Biometrics Software Engineer required experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1+ years experience with the following:
- development/modification of code and configuration changes
- relevant design experience for large scale information technology and database systems comprised of a multi-tier architecture
- integration of highly complex commercial software products and custom code for large scale information technology and database systems
- C++,
- JAVA
- PL/SQL
- GO
- Python
- Ruby
- C#
- Fluent in spoken and written English language
- US Citizen with active DHS EOD (Public Trust) clearance, or ability to obtain
Biometrics Software Engineer desired experience (one or more of the following):
- Agile Certifications such as SCRUM, Kanban, and SAFe
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps methods
- Working knowledge of automated biometric identification systems (ABIS)
- Knowledge of DHS OBIM system engineering life cycle (SELC)
Responsibilities for this position will include:
- create and modify software for biometric systems
- ensure proper performance and integration between internal and external system components.
- help to Identify and design technical solutions to include the software, hardware, and communications to support cross functional, security, and interoperability requirements.
- Develop software using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and DevSecOps methods.
