We provide an online community of care that connects, coordinates and tracks all of those who are involved in the correctional/rehabilitative life cycle, including those with the most stake (the justice involved youth or adult, him/herself). Our technology seeks to empower all involved to assess, assign and encourage completion of treatment plans that will improve success in the community. We enjoy knowing our software at the end of the day is being used to help people.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated UI/UX Designer with 0–3 years of experience to join our team and play a key role in shaping the design and user experience of our software platform. This position is ideal for an early-career designer who is eager to grow, experiment, collaborate, and take ownership of meaningful design challenges. You will work directly with our Senior Designer while partnering closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to create intuitive, scalable, and visually polished digital experiences.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must demonstrate strong self-management, adaptability, and transparent communication. A compelling portfolio demonstrating design thinking, visual execution, and problem-solving is required.

Key Responsibilities

User Interface & Experience Design

• Design and refine user interfaces that align with our design system, brand guidelines, and product objectives.
• Produce user flows, wireframes, visual mockups, interactive prototypes, and design specifications.
• Contribute to the evolution of our design system while ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform.
• Collaborate with the Senior Designer to achieve cohesive visual and experiential outcomes.

User Research & Interaction Validation

• Participate in or support user research activities such as interviews, usability tests, and heuristic evaluations.
• Translate research findings into actionable design recommendations.
• Iterate on design solutions based on user insights, feedback, analytics, and team input.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering teams to ensure feasibility, accuracy, and fidelity during implementation.
• Document design decisions, prepare handoff materials, and support developers through the build process.
• Present concepts, design rationales, and tradeoff considerations to stakeholders.
• Engage in structured design reviews and contribute thoughtful critique to peers.

Process, Time Management & Communication

• Manage workload autonomously with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines and evolving requirements.
• Communicate proactively, clearly, and transparently with the Senior Designer and broader product team.
• Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail across all deliverables.

Qualifications

Required

• 4-year degree in a relevant field (e.g., Interaction Design, Product Design, HCI, Graphic Design, Digital Media) or equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong design capability.
• Ability to legally work in the United States.
• A strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX work, design process, and problem-solving skills.
• 0–3 years of experience in UI/UX, including internships, freelance projects, or equivalent industry exposure.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications and Figma, with the ability to produce high-quality visual and interaction design work.
• Understanding of UX principles, interaction patterns, responsive design, and accessibility best practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale.
• Experience working in fast-paced, iterative environments with shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and maintain transparency in workflow and communication.

Preferred

• Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems.
• Exposure to user research methodologies and usability testing practices.
• Familiarity with basic front-end development concepts to support engineering collaboration.
• Experience designing for SaaS platforms or multi-step workflow applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
