Job Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Network Architect / Network Engineer to support a large, complex organization operating in a highly available, mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for network design, configuration, and administration, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable connectivity across enterprise systems and locations.

  • The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a strategic mindset and enjoys designing and maintaining networks that support critical operations and future growth. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of professional network engineering or network architecture experience
  • Hands-on experience with network design and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols
  • Experience administering enterprise network environments
  • Experience troubleshooting complex network issues in production
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network architectures
  • Configure and administer routers, switches, firewalls, and network appliances
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and performance issues
  • Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams
  • Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies
  • Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning

Experience Preferences:

  • Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical networks
  • Experience with high-availability and redundant network designs
  • Familiarity with network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation)
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or comparable enterprise networking platforms
  • Exposure to cloud networking or hybrid environments

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods
  • Ability to participate in on-site or remote troubleshooting as needed
  • Occasional lifting of networking equipment (up to approximately 30 lbs)

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education Preferences:

  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent)
  • Advanced coursework or training in network architecture or security
  • Ongoing professional development in emerging networking technologies
