Job description

The Company

Navusoft is a Software as a Service (SaaS) company specializing in the development of service lifecycle management software for companies that provide waste and recycling collection services across North America.

Our platform empowers these companies to take a strategic approach to sales and after-sales service by providing innovative software to align sales, service level management, technical communication, field service management, asset management, and customer care to maximize customer retention and profitability.

Waste and recycling companies rely on Navusoft to eliminate the casual commitment to service standards, inefficient operations, poor care of assets, inaccurate billing, outdated connectivity and other issues that hamper a company’s ability to grow after-sales business. Navusoft provides technology tools to transform the service delivery of a traditional waste vendor into a modern, growing, customer service centric operation.

The Role

Navusoft is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Software Engineer to champion the quality of our industry-leading SaaS solution. This will be a critical role focused on establishing and maintaining quality best practices, designing test strategies, and implementing robust test automation across our platform, from core services to the front end. The position will be responsible for mentoring other engineers on quality assurance principles, establishing proven testing patterns, and directly influencing the platform’s stability, performance, and overall quality. In this influential role, the senior QA engineer will have a direct impact on how our platform will evolve and function.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and existing functionalities across the platform.

· Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software design and QA best practices

· Establish and drive robust test automation strategies (UI, API, integration, and performance testing) using appropriate frameworks and tools.

· Analyze and report on quality metrics, test coverage, and key performance indicators to identify and address areas of risk or improvement.

· Implement and maintain automated testing suites and ensure continuous quality integration within the CI/CD pipeline.

· Work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to integrate quality assurance into every stage of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

· Contribute to continuous improvement in QA workflows, release processes, and testing methodologies.

All Applicants Considered

At Navusoft, we recognize that we are only as strong as our people. The right person for the role will be hired regardless of their background. We are looking for strong-minded and talented individuals who want to have an impact in the industry. While the following items are desired, they are not required for consideration.

· Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, and the various types of software testing (functional, non-functional, security, etc.).

· Experience in, or knowledge of, the waste and recycling industry

· 5 years industry experience in QA Software Engineering

· Proficiency in web service (Java, Spring) and web-based development (ExtJS, Svelte)

· Experience with database technologies, design, and performance (SQL, No-SQL)

· Experience with mobile development and release processes for both Android & Apple

· Hands-on experience with managing products on Amazon Web Services or similar cloud technologies

· Motivated self-starter with a focus on results
