The Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and backups of all physical infrastructure equipment and software related to the clients' network and server/storage environments. The Systems Engineer will spend the bulk of their day onsite at our clients’ places of business. The successful candidate will possess exceptional technical and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and motivated, have a positive attitude and enjoy being part of a dynamic team.

Job Details:

Responsibilities:

Administer the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and upgrades of hardware and software systems for Centaris' clients.

Provide advanced level IT troubleshooting and support.

Configures, maintains, and supports physical/virtual servers, internal cloud applications, end-user devices or terminals, security, and disaster recovery solutions.

Remote access solution implementation and support.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Experience preferred but not all necessary.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or related degree/equivalent combination of work experience) preferred.
  • 5+ years of systems administration experience preferred.
  • Professional IT certifications preferred.
  • Experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues involving:
    • Server applications such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, group policies, etc.
    • Microsoft’s core business applications (Exchange, SQL, etc.) and operating systems (servers and desktops) as well as line of business applications.
  • Knowledge of remote access solutions including VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
  • Experience with MS Azure, M365, and O365.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Teams.
  • Mid level technical support and the ability to troubleshoot at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, Layer 2/3 switching, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • Understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems.
  • Experience with VMware up to version 7.0
