Compensation: $100K - $110K per year Depending on Experience and/or Formal Training

Overview:

Will oversee the technology infrastructure, systems and security within a production environment, ensuring high availability of manufacturing execution systems (MES), ERP, and, if applicable, Industrial Control Systems (ICS). Lead IT team, manage vendors and drive digital transformation projects to optimize operational efficiency and minimize downtime. Key responsibilities include system maintenance, cybersecurity, and strategic IT planning.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Oversee servers, networks, and manufacturing hardware, ensuring 24/7 uptime
  • Oversee ERP administration, and MES shop floor systems
  • Implement security protocols, disaster recovery/business continuance planning, and ensure data integrity within manufacturing systems
  • Provide Tier II/III support, investigating and resolving hardware or software issues, particularly for production-critical systems
  • Drive technology implementations, such as system upgrades, automation projects or cloud migrations
  • Hire, train and manage IT staff, fostering technical skills and performance
  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors and service providers for support and upgrades
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network protocols, cybersecurity and manufacturing software (ERP/MES)
  • Understanding manufacturing operations, production flow and shop floor technology
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects, deadlines and budgets simultaneously
  • Effective communication for collaborating with operational teams, vendors, and senior management
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or related field
  • Several years of experience in IT, specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership

Additional Skills/Knowledge Preferred:

Must be familiar with: ERP (Epicor), MES, Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Networking, and helpdesk.
