XpertDox is a healthcare technology company in Scottsdale, AZ, focused on reducing the administrative burden of medical coding. Our platform, XpertCoding, applies ensemble machine learning and transformer neural networks to automatically assign ICD and CPT codes, improving accuracy, compliance, and revenue cycle efficiency. We work with large-scale clinical data, including EHRs, clinical notes, and claims, to reduce errors and costs while enabling physicians to focus on patient care. As a small, fast-moving team, every engineer directly impacts production systems and customer outcomes.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Data Scientist (Healthcare) to develop and optimize machine learning models for clinical documentation and medical coding.

Responsibilities

• Build, train, and deploy machine learning models (ensemble methods, neural networks).
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines in Python.
• Work with healthcare datasets (EHR/EMR, ICD, CPT, clinical notes).
• Conduct experiments, evaluate models, and document results.
• Collaborate with clinicians and engineers to refine models for production use.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with ML libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LightGBM/XGBoost).
• Hands-on experience with ensemble methods and neural networks.
• Strong knowledge of model evaluation techniques.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Scottsdale, AZ.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
