Position Summary

Our enterprise cruise line client is seeking a Data Scientist to drive advanced analytics, experimentation, and machine learning initiatives across the organization. This role focuses on translating complex business problems into analytical frameworks, developing predictive models, and delivering actionable insights that improve operational performance, revenue, and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Modeling & Advanced Analytics

• Develop and deploy statistical models and machine learning solutions to solve business problems.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, drivers, and opportunities.
• Build and evaluate models using appropriate techniques (regression, classification, clustering, etc.).
• Engineer features and iterate on model performance.

Experimentation & Insight Generation

• Design and analyze A/B tests and experiments to measure impact of initiatives.
• Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Communicate results to stakeholders in a way that drives decision-making.

Business Problem Solving

• Partner with stakeholders to define problems, hypotheses, and success metrics.
• Break down ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches.
• Provide ongoing analytical support for strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or similar roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python for analysis and modeling.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and validation.
• Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience designing and analyzing experiments (A/B testing).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data environments.
• Experience in consumer, travel, or hospitality industries.
• Exposure to working with large-scale or complex datasets.
