Job Summary:

As a Senior Azure Big Data Architect, you will own the end-to-end architecture of hybrid big-data platforms spanning Azure and on-prem ecosystems. You will define standards, lead design reviews, mentor teams, and ensure solutions meet regulatory, security, and business requirements.

Technical Skills

• Deep expertise in Azure data services: Databricks, ADLS, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Event Hub, Service Bus
• Strong architectural background in Hadoop / Cloudera ecosystems: HDFS, Spark, Hive, Impala, Ranger, Sentry
• Experience designing hybrid connectivity using ExpressRoute, VPN, networking, and security hardening
• Strong knowledge of identity & access management, RBAC, secrets/keys management, and Zero-Trust principles
• Experience with data governance frameworks including Purview, data quality, lineage, and schema evolution
• Proven ability to design scalable batch and streaming architectures
• Experience applying FinOps practices for compute and storage cost optimization
• Skilled in creating reference architectures, standards, blueprints, and technical documentation

Functional Skills

• Ability to mentor engineering teams and lead architecture and design reviews
• Strong collaboration skills across product managers, compliance, business, and engineering teams
• Ability to define technology roadmaps, migration strategies, and hybrid modernization plans
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including executive and leadership alignment

Roles & Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end architecture of hybrid big-data platforms
• Establish security models, governance standards, and integration patterns
• Review and guide engineering designs to ensure alignment with architectural standards
• Collaborate with PMs and business stakeholders to meet regulatory and business objectives
• Drive modernization strategy, migration planning, and phased platform evolution
• Oversee performance, reliability, disaster recovery, and cost-optimized cloud adoption

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
