Xinquan Texas Automotive Interiors, LLC is part of Xinquan Group, a global leader specializing in the design, manufacture, and sales of automotive interior and exterior trim system components and molds. Our headquarter is located in Changzhou, China. This is a once-in-a-career chance to get in on the ground floor of a state-of-the-art facility. You won't just be filling a role—you'll be a founding member who will design, implement, and define the culture and operating procedures for our entire US operation.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to have a direct, tangible impact on our success from day one, join us and help build the future of automotive manufacturing in Austin!
About the Role
The IT Manager will serve as the hands-on technical leader for our new automotive parts manufacturing facility during the critical startup phase. This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking and tactical execution—someone who can architect IT infrastructure while also rolling up their sleeves to configure systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure day-one operational readiness. You'll build our IT foundation from the ground up, working closely with operations, engineering, and our global IT team to deploy manufacturing systems that support world-class automotive production.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an IT professional who thrives in dynamic startup environments and wants to make a lasting impact by establishing the technology backbone of a new manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
· Build IT infrastructure from ground-up: server rooms, network architecture, wireless systems, and industrial device connectivity
· Deploy and configure production-critical systems: ERP (SAP or equivalent), MES, SCADA, and shop floor networks
· Hands-on installation, configuration, and testing of all IT/OT systems to ensure day-one production readiness
· Coordinate with equipment vendors for manufacturing equipment network integration
· Create system documentation and standard operating procedures
· Provide hands-on technical support for production lines with minimal downtime
· Troubleshoot real-time issues with manufacturing systems, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial equipment
· Monitor system performance and proactively prevent production disruptions
· Implement security fundamentals: network segmentation, firewalls, endpoint protection, and access controls
· Design and maintain segregated IT/OT networks with industrial protocols (OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Profinet)
· Manage servers, virtualization infrastructure, and backup/disaster recovery systems
· Ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards and customer requirements
· Manage secure remote access for vendors and global support teams
· Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support production needs
· Coordinate with global IT teams while adapting solutions for local plant requirements
· Lead vendor relationships and system integration projects
· Other tasks assigned by Management
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
· 5+ years of hands-on IT experience in manufacturing environments
· Proven experience with manufacturing IT systems: ERP, MES, SCADA, or industrial control systems
· Experience in both IT (enterprise systems) and OT (production/industrial systems) environments
· Strong networking knowledge: routing, switching, VLANs, firewall configuration
· Working knowledge of industrial protocols (OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, or Modbus TCP)
· Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under production pressure
· Hands-on mentality: Willing to configure servers, run cables, or troubleshoot equipment directly
· Startup mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid change, and building from scratch
· Calm under pressure: Effective when production is down and quick resolution is critical
Preferred
· Experience with automotive manufacturing or tier 1 supplier operations
· Plant startup, greenfield deployment, or major system implementation experience
· SAP or similar enterprise ERP platform experience
· Certifications: CCNA, CISSP, Security+, ITIL, or VMware/Microsoft certifications
