Job description

The Morse Group IT Department is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and peak performance across all systems. The role requires strong technical expertise in network management, system administration, and cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal connectivity and speed
  • Implement, maintain, and manage security measures, including firewalls, vulnerability scanners, VPNs, and access controls.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords
  • Perform regular system backups and implement and test disaster recovery procedures
  • Provide technical support and resolve network-related issues for end-users
  • Keep network documentation up-to-date and maintain inventory of network equipment
  • Research and recommend network upgrades and new technologies to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure smooth network operations
  • Train users on network policies and best practices

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following qualifications, education and/or experience in the following areas:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in network administration
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and infrastructure
  • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining network hardware and software
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Proxmox VE.
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Cisco networking equipment
  • Familiarity with VMWare and other virtualization technologies is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
