Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Enterprise Data Modeler to join our data management team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data architecture, modeling, and integration, with a focus on designing scalable and efficient data models that support enterprise-wide analytics and decision-making. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence data strategy, enhance data quality, and enable advanced analytics across diverse business units. The Enterprise Data Modeler will collaborate closely with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive data models aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data structures utilizing best practices in data modeling.
• Implement data modeling standards and governance policies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and security across all data assets.
• Work with database administrators and engineers to optimize database design for performance, scalability, and reliability across platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop, Spark, Azure Data Lake, and AWS environments.
• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Informatica to facilitate seamless data integration from multiple sources including NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
• Support the development of linked data initiatives by designing models that enable semantic interoperability and data sharing across systems.
• Contribute to the adoption of agile methodologies by participating in sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives related to data architecture.

Skills

• Extensive experience with data modeling techniques including conceptual, logical, and physical modeling for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in SQL programming along with expertise in database design principles for relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of big data technologies including Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS), Spark, and NoSQL databases like NoSQL systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure (Microsoft Azure), particularly services like Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Factory.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or similar platforms for data integration tasks.
• Knowledge of programming languages including Java, Python, Bash (Unix shell scripting), which are essential for automation and custom development tasks.
• Understanding of analytics concepts to support advanced reporting solutions and decision-making processes.
• Ability to work within Agile teams by participating actively in iterative development cycles while maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
