Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to lead the design, creation, and management of database systems, including data modeling and DataMart development. The ideal candidate is an expert in Microsoft SQL Server, with hands-on experience deploying and maintaining databases in both virtualized and clustered environments. This role demands a strong technical foundation in SSAS and SSRS, as well as comprehensive skills in managing database operations, including backups, restores, replication, performance tuning, and query optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and management of databases through comprehensive data modeling and DataMart development.
- Design, implement, and manage SQL Server environments in both virtual and clustered configurations.
- Execute and troubleshoot backup and restore strategies, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
- Conduct in-depth performance tuning and query optimization to ensure database stability and efficiency.
- Manage database operations across development, testing, and production environments.
- Develop and maintain SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) solutions.
- Utilize ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
- Work with XML, Operational Data Stores (ODS), and Data Warehousing (DWH) technologies.
- Automate and streamline administrative tasks using Shell, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years in database administration roles.
- Certifications: Must hold a relevant and current database certification, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent.
