Position Description:
The IT Administrator is responsible for overseeing all technology operations and ensuring that the organization’s IT systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with strategic goals. This role will have a significant focus on Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and management, as the organization transitions to a new system. The IT Administrator will lead all aspects of IT infrastructure, including systems administration, hardware and software management, network security, and technical support. This position will collaborate across departments to ensure technology solutions meet the needs of staff and clients in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management and IT Systems Administration
- Lead the implementation, customization, and rollout of the new EHR system, ensuring it meets operational and regulatory requirements.
- Provide ongoing system administration and user support for the EHR and other critical IT systems.
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT staff to ensure effective adoption and usage of the EHR.
- Ensure data integrity, privacy, and security within the EHR and IT systems, in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
- Manage network infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, cloud solutions, and user accounts.
- Ensure system backups, disaster recovery plans, and cybersecurity protocols are in place and regularly tested.
Hardware, Software, and Technical Support
- Oversee the organization’s hardware inventory, including computers, mobile devices, and peripherals, ensuring all devices are maintained and secure.
- Manage software procurement, licensing, and updates, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Administer user access controls, ensuring appropriate permissions and system security.
Strategic IT Planning, Project Management, and Compliance
- Develop and execute an IT roadmap aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Manage IT projects, including timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation.
- Stay informed of emerging technology trends in healthcare IT to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, cybersecurity protocols, and other relevant data privacy regulations.
- Conduct security assessments and address any vulnerabilities to safeguard the organization’s data and systems.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on IT performance, project status, and future needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, CISSP) (preferred).
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems implementation and management.
- Knowledge of IT security protocols, including HIPAA compliance.
- Experience managing hardware and software procurement and maintenance.
- Ability to stay current on emerging IT trends and solutions in healthcare.

- Extensive experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including implementation, customization, and administration.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, systems administration, and cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in hardware and software management.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT regulations, including HIPAA.
- Project management experience, with a focus on IT rollouts and upgrades.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train and support staff on IT systems.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

Location:
This is a hybrid remote position, with time spent on-site at our Frederic, Webster, and New Richmond, WI locations.
