Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. Role will require driving 3 to 4 days a week, and visiting clients.
In this role, you will assist in managing and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of network protocols and technologies, along with a willingness to learn and grow within the field.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Support the implementation of load balancing solutions to optimize resource utilization across the network.
- Manage Virtual Private Networks (VPN) to ensure secure remote access for users.
- Collaborate with senior network engineers to implement network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and PKI.
- Maintain documentation related to network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Assist in the integration of APIs for enhanced functionality within the network environment.
- Participate in computer management tasks including software updates, patch management, and security audits.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of network engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity with load balancing techniques and their application within a network environment is preferred.
- Understanding of VPN technologies and their configuration is a plus.
- Proficient in network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and PKI.
- Ability to troubleshoot networking issues effectively using analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated on industry trends is essential.
