About the Role

Red Barn Media Group is hiring a digital-first designer to join our team in person in Colchester, VT. This role is ideal for someone who loves modern web design, UX/UI best practices, and creating clean, development-ready layouts in Figma. You’ll design responsive website experiences, support ongoing digital marketing creative, and help elevate the visual consistency of our brands.

While the work is primarily digital, you should be comfortable producing occasional brand and print-ready assets (sales collateral, one-pagers, event materials) when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Design development-ready website layouts with clear structure and intent

• Apply UX/UI best practices to improve usability and conversions

• Design for responsive experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile

• Create and maintain design systems and brand identity systems

• Communicate design decisions clearly and provide clean handoffs to developers

• Produce digital creative for marketing: social, ads, landing pages, email graphics, and more

• Support occasional print-ready assets and branded materials

What We’re Looking For

• 3–4 years of design experience (agency experience is a plus)

• Strong portfolio demonstrating web/UI work and responsive layouts

• Strong grasp of UX/UI fundamentals and layout hierarchy

• Experience working within design systems and brand guidelines

• Ability to articulate design rationale during collaboration and handoff

• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (enough to design with development in mind)

• Comfort producing print-ready files when needed

• Advanced in Figma (components, styles, libraries, responsive frames)

• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator; InDesign helpful)

• Figma prototyping experience is a plus (clickable prototypes, simple interactions)

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
