Data & IT Manager

Overview: Responsible for the agency’s Tier 1 IT and data system needs of a community-based non-profit. Develops program data management plans and procedures, quality control, reporting, and leads data-related topics based upon business needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and security of our network, and implementing technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in data or computer science or related field with a strong emphasis on data collection, validation, management, and utilization. Relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

2. Minimum of 3 years' experience with data system entry, reporting, and maintenance. Electronic Health Records experience a plus.

3. Expert proficiency in data mining, analysis, and validation.

4. Demonstrated Tier 1 IT level of technical knowledge and proficiency.

5. Experience in development and monitoring process and outcome measurements used in quality improvement.

6. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple partners to positively affect outcomes.

7. Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.

8. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Provides Tier 1 level of support for all IT training, updates, and troubleshooting, as well as functional support with computers, printers, Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange, and other technology and software.

2. Serves as the primary administrator for Electronic Health Records (EHR), Health Information Exchange (HIXNY), and other reporting systems.

3. Gathers and structures data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency to input into multiple electronic systems.

4. Streamline data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics for process and outcome measures.

5. Implements and annual updates agency quality improvement plan. Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis and participates in Quality Management Team.

6. Assists in resolving data-related issues stemming from program-level and/or client-level data by working in several systems simultaneously. Audits program data on a regular basis to ensure data quality. Develop ad-hoc reports as necessary and effectively communicate and interpret for staff.

7. Remains up to date on grant data reporting requirements. Assists in the preparation of data reports required by funders.

8. Providing training and support to users and managers on use of data systems and IT and maintains training user manuals.

9. Implements and maintains security protocols to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or corruption. Ensuring compliance with data governance policies and regulations.

10. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
