Job description
SIXT is looking for a Director of IT to lead the organization’s technology initiatives, ensure stable and efficient IT systems. This role oversees IT operations, supports business technology needs, and drives the optimization of IT solutions. With a focus on operational execution, service delivery, and technology improvements, the Director of IT provides strategic leadership to enhance overall IT performance.
YOUR ROLE AT SIXT
IT Strategy & Innovation: You will support the development and execution of IT strategies aligned with business objectives while evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Business Collaboration & Solutions: You will work closely with business units to address IT needs, deliver effective solutions, and align with global TECH strategies for seamless integration.
Governance, Security & Compliance: You will establish IT policies, governance processes, and security measures while ensuring compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and cybersecurity protocols.
Project & Vendor Management: You will lead IT projects to meet deadlines and budgets while managing vendor relationships, contracts, and IT service providers.
IT Infrastructure & Support: You will oversee IT infrastructure, networks, and enterprise systems while managing IT support teams to ensure high-quality service and minimal business disruptions.
Performance Monitoring & Budgeting: You will track IT performance through KPIs, support budget planning, and implement proactive monitoring and reporting on system availability in coordination with global IT teams.
YOUR SKILLS MATTER
Matrix Organization Collaboration: You have experience working in a matrix environment, ensuring seamless coordination across global IT teams.
IT Operations & Infrastructure: You will have proven expertise in IT operations, infrastructure management, system administration, and enterprise applications.
Performance Monitoring & Security: You will have a strong focus on proactive system monitoring, availability reporting, IT governance, and security best practices.
Leadership & Change Management: You will have the ability to manage change, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide strategic leadership.
Project & Vendor Management: You will need experience in project management, vendor negotiations, and IT budget planning to optimize resources.
Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong analytical skills, continuous improvement mindset, and excellent communication for effective stakeholder management.
