JOB SUMMARY
The Systems Administrator III is a senior-level role responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the IT infrastructure and systems of South Atlantic Bank. This position ensures compliance with stringent regulatory requirements while maintaining a secure, reliable, and scalable IT environment. The role requires expertise in managing cloud platforms, on-premise systems, and networking technologies, as well as a deep understanding of IT compliance. The Systems Administrator III also mentors Level I and II administrators and manages vendor relationships to support business objectives and maintain operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cloud and System Administration:

Manage and administer Microsoft Azure and Office 365, including user accounts, licensing, and secure integrations to meet banking compliance standards.

Oversee Intune and Mobile Device Management (MDM) to ensure secure deployment, management, and usage of devices.

Administer Windows Servers, including configuration, updates, patch management, and incident resolution in a banking environment.

Manage Active Directory (AD), including Group Policy Objects (GPOs), account provisioning, and domain structure, ensuring compliance with FDIC and banking security requirements.
Networking and Infrastructure:

Monitor and maintain firewalls, switches, and wireless networks, ensuring they meet FDIC guidelines for network security and reliability.

Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures in collaboration with IT security teams, ensuring compliance with FDIC and other applicable banking regulations.

Administer secure email systems and phone systems, ensuring adherence to banking communication and security policies.
Compliance and Security:

Ensure compliance with FDIC, GLBA, and other applicable regulatory requirements by maintaining secure systems and documenting IT controls.

Conduct regular IT audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing, ensuring systems meet banking industry compliance and security standards.

Maintain and update IT policies and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements, including data security, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
Project and Vendor Management:

Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations, ensuring all projects meet compliance and audit standards.

Act as the primary point of contact for vendor management, negotiating contracts and ensuring services meet FDIC-regulated banking requirements.
Team Leadership and Support:

Provide escalation support for complex technical issues from Level I and II administrators.

Mentor and train junior administrators on banking-specific IT operations, compliance standards, and technical best practices.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), IT controls, and troubleshooting guides.

Assistant to the Director of IT and Information Security Officer in policies, budget, reporting, strategic planning, business continuity planning, and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration, with advanced proficiency in Azure, Office 365, Intune, and MDM.

Strong experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory.

Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell).

In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, including firewalls, switches, wireless systems, and VLANs.

Hands-on experience with managing endpoint devices, including patch management.

Expertise in cybersecurity practices, such as vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and incident response.

Proven experience in managing IT compliance programs and regulatory requirements.

Ability to lead and deliver IT projects within scope, timeline, and budget constraints.

Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
