IT Director – Credit Union

Position Summary:
The IT Director oversees the planning, implementation, and management of all technology systems and infrastructure within the credit union. This role ensures that IT operations support strategic goals, maintain security and compliance, and deliver reliable, efficient service to members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead IT strategy, infrastructure, and cybersecurity initiatives to support credit union operations and digital banking services.
  • Manage core systems, networks, and vendor relationships to ensure high availability and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee IT staff and daily operations, ensuring secure, efficient, and member-focused technology solutions.
  • Develop and enforce policies for data protection, system integrity, and business continuity.
  • Plan and manage the IT budget, projects, and technology roadmap in alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including management in a financial or credit union environment.
  • Strong knowledge of core banking systems, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory compliance (NCUA, FFIEC, GLBA).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
