We are launching our Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) public cloud and are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help build and scale our platform.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who is excited to join a team that is designing, building, and optimizing a cloud infrastructure provider from the ground up. This role requires deep expertise in cloud-native technologies, infrastructure automation, and performance optimization.
You’ll work closely with leadership to define and execute our cloud roadmap, ensuring best-in-class reliability, scalability, and efficiency for our customers. What You’ll Do
- Architect and build our cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking services.
- Develop and automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Ansible.
- Optimize performance of our IaaS platform to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Lead and contribute to the selection, development, and integration of open-source cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with leadership to define and execute our cloud roadmap.
- Implement security best practices for infrastructure, networking, and data storage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, ensuring smooth operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Mid-to-Senior level experience (5+ years in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or a related field).
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure — experience with in-house cloud solutions, virtualization, or alternative cloud platforms (e.g., OpenStack and Proxmox) is a plus.
- Strong automation skills — Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
- Proficiency in Linux systems administration and networking.
- Experience building and managing distributed systems and high-performance compute environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.).
- Remote work experience — ability to thrive in a globally distributed team.
- Passion for open-source technologies and building from the ground up.
- Openness to leveraging AI-driven tools to automate workflows, enhance productivity, and streamline cloud infrastructure management.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with bare metal provisioning and automation.
- Background in performance tuning for cloud workloads.
- Knowledge of cloud economics and cost optimization strategies.
- Development experience in Python, Go, or Rust — building infrastructure tooling, APIs, or automation frameworks.
- Previous experience in a startup environment.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding or automation tools to increase efficiency and productivity.
