Located in Manchester, New Hampshire (USA), Vibrac® manufactures a broad range of automated and manual precision torque testing systems for accurately measuring torque of numerous types of rotational devices.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Software & Controls Engineer to design, develop, and support control systems and software for advanced manufacturing equipment. This role plays a key part in automation, testing, and system integration. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and experienced in working within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain control software using NI LabVIEW
• Develop software for automated test systems, data acquisition, and process control
• Integrate software with hardware components including PLCs, sensors, actuators, motion systems, and instrumentation
• Support machine commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to define system requirements
• Create and maintain technical documentation, software standards, and version control
• Assist with system validation, testing, and performance optimization
• Provide on-site and remote support for manufacturing and production systems as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a software and controls engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong proficiency with LabVIEW
• Experience with data acquisition (DAQ), instrumentation, and test automation
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, TCP/IP, Serial, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
• Knowledge of motion control systems, robotics, or machine vision
• Experience with version control systems (Git or similar)
• Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments (aerospace, medical, defense, etc.)
• NI certifications (CLD, CLA) a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
