Job description
Position Overview: Restoration of America is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer I to join the team and support the building, securing, and maintenance of reliable infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This junior-to-mid-level role bridges development, security, and operations, with an emphasis on automation, early integration of security practices, and maintaining high system reliability in a fast-paced production environment. The role reports to the DevSecOps Tech Lead and includes ongoing mentorship and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational workflows
- Manage compute, storage, networking, and virtualization resources
- Integrate security scanning, compliance checks, and vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (including potential AI/ML workflows)
- Deploy and manage containerized applications and artifact repositories
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions
- Support incident response, troubleshooting, and low-frequency on-call rotation (with senior support)
- Manage virtualization platforms and hybrid VM/container environments
- Collaborate with software engineers on deployment, security, reviews, and documentation
- Provide operational support and maintain runbooks
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, Systems Administration, backend/cloud development, AI/ML engineering, or security roles
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash/Shell, Python, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD platforms, containers, and orchestration concepts
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and virtualization/cloud compute resources (e.g., Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V, AWS EC2, Azure VMs, GCP Compute Engine, or similar)
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging solutions, Linux/Unix administration, and basic networking
- Understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to security scanning tools and common vulnerabilities/best practices (OWASP, NIST)
- Some exposure to data pipelines, orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Airbyte, or similar), or AI/ML pipelines/MLOps practices
- Use of AI-powered tools to enhance productivity (e.g., Copilot, automation assistants, code generation)
- Experience with traditional development languages and frameworks (e.g., .NET/C#, Java, or similar)
- Experience with secrets management, policy-as-code, or GitOps practices
- Deeper knowledge of container orchestration, service meshes, or distributed tracing
- Background in managing artifact repositories and software composition analysis
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and incident management tools

Pay: $100,000.00 per year
