Become a Key Player as a Cloud Engineer

As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll cover a leave of absence while helping Adobe design, deploy, and support large-scale clustered software platforms across multiple datacenters and public clouds worldwide. You’ll deliver secure, efficient solutions within comprehensive compliance requirements and partner closely with developers and operations. This is a staffing/contract role expected to run from January 5, 2026 through August 31, 2026.

Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact on the Team

Work with multiple teams to design, deploy, and support large-scale clustered software platforms across datacenters and public clouds.

Deliver highly secure and efficient solutions within comprehensive compliance regulations.

Run and support customer-facing solutions in public clouds (Azure/AWS).

Manage large-scale Linux OS deployment and automation.

Recommend, design, build, and support complex solutions at scale.

Build orchestration and automation solutions (e.g., Jenkins, SaltStack).

Create documentation, presentations, and training from design, compliance, and support references.

Collaborate with developers and operations; manage day-to-day infrastructure operations.

Troubleshoot complex system and performance problems.

Here’s What You’ll Need to Be Successful in This Role

Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

2+ years managing environments in the public cloud (Microsoft Azure preferred).

3+ years with Linux, including large-scale OS deployment and automation.

3+ years of software engineering experience with multiple languages (Python, Go preferred).

Understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and related technologies.

Experience running customer-facing solutions in public clouds.

Knowledge of software version control systems and release management.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Strong analytical skills for diagnosing complex system and performance issues.

Ability to manage time and meet commitments on a small, customer-focused team; eagerness to learn and take guidance; cross-functional collaboration.

Here’s What Else Might Help You Out

Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS.

Private datacenter infrastructure experience.

Experience with containers (Docker preferred).

Experience with cluster technologies (Mesos, Kubernetes preferred).

Familiarity with orchestration/automation tools (Jenkins, SaltStack).

Git experience.

Pay Range

$46.95 - $58.68/hour
