Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Information Technology (IT) Security Administrator operates under minimal supervision and works with other staff members, peers and business partners on projects to maintain technical infrastructure systems in accordance with established policies and procedures. The IT Security Administrator is responsible for implementing and maintaining controls that support the Information Security (IS) Program; this position also performs, tracks and documents regular security checks, and remediates or escalates any issues, tracking them to closure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs, documents and reports results of regular IT systems security checks.
- Maintains and publishes system inventories regularly and maintains regular audits of inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Remediates or escalates issues in a timely fashion, tracking issues to closure.
- Performs log monitoring and responds appropriately and in a timely fashion.
- Performs baselines and monitors for configuration changes using PCI, HIPPA, NIST Standards.
- Responds to security questionnaires from clients/vendors and will be heavily involved in Industry Standard Compliance Audits.
- Maintains heavy involvement in projects with minimal supervision.
- Other duties may be assigned as required by business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires five (5) years of relevant hands-on experience in an Information Security role including administration of Windows Desktops and Servers.
- Requires five (5) years of experience in building and maintaining security systems.
- Requires thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Requires knowledge of PCI, ISO 27001 and HITRUST frameworks.
- Requires ability to work effectively as a team member, collaborating, contributing and cooperating with a highly talented group of IT Engineers as well as business partners.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication, listening and presentation skills.
- Relevant hands on experience applying service packs, hotfixes, security patches, drivers, firmware and operating system updates in Windows AD environment is a plus.
- Ability to maintain a predictable and consistent full-time work schedule.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
