Overview
Immediate Need. We will pay $30 per hour or $20/hour plus free accommodations in an on-site 2 bedroom 1 bathroom single family residence. This job has the potential to convert into a regular staff position.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and educating young children in a safe and stimulating environment. This position requires a strong understanding of childhood development and the ability to create engaging learning experiences for preschool-aged children. The Daycare Teacher will work closely with students, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Educate students through hands-on activities, play, and structured lessons that promote learning and development.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children in the classroom.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing positive reinforcement strategies to encourage good conduct.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating with parents or guardians as needed.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom to ensure a conducive learning environment.
- Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education, special education needs, first aid procedures, and classroom management techniques.
Qualifications:
- At least 12 early childhood education units including the 4 core classes.
Experience
- Previous experience working with students in a preschool or daycare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills are necessary for maintaining an orderly environment conducive to learning.
