Job description

Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)

Looking for someone that has Active Directory, virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare), file server, DFS, file caching.

· Provide excellent technical services to our internal customers

· Implement and support infrastructure services, including wide area networks, storage area networks and application servers.

· Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for optimizing or further leveraging these systems.

· Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement IT solutions.

· Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

· Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.

· Manage and maintain servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.

· Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.

· Work with System Administrator Manager to perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.

· Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.

· Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems as needed.

· Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements.

· Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.

· Provide technical support and assistance to end-users as needed.

Degree: Bachelor's Degree Major: Computer Science

Additional Position Competencies (max 4):

Technical Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience as a System Administrator with a strong knowledge or Active Directory, Azure AD (Microsoft Entra), and Microsoft 365. Solid understanding of security best practices and networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP. Extensive experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Hyper-V). Working knowledge of Visual Basic, PowerShell. Ability to analyze and implement infrastructure systems best practices. Proven experience of installing/configuring/supporting Windows Server and Linux operating systems. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting experience.

Licenses / Certifications

MCSE, MCSA

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
