Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a versatile IT professional to provide end‑user technical support and lead on‑premises/cloud server administration for our Foothill Ranch and Corona locations. The role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of core IT services, while delivering timely, customer‑centric support to employees across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

A. IT Technical Support

· Serve as the first and second line of support via email, chat, and phone; triage, prioritize, and resolve incidents.

· Install, configure, and maintain Windows/macOS endpoints, mobile devices, and common enterprise applications (Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive).

· Provision and deprovision user accounts; manage access rights and security groups following least‑privilege principles.

· Diagnose and remediate issues related to networking (Wi‑Fi, VPN, DHCP/DNS, basic routing), printing, audio/video conferencing, and peripherals.

· Maintain hardware inventory, asset tags, and lifecycle; prepare devices for onboarding/offboarding, including secure data wipes.

· Document solutions, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles; contribute to continual service improvement.

· Provide user training and best practices for productivity, cybersecurity awareness, and safe data handling.

B. Server Administration

· Administer Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP) and virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper‑V/VMware).

· Monitor server health, capacity, and performance using standard tools; plan and execute scaling and optimization.

· Implement and maintain backup/restore strategies; perform periodic DR tests and ensure Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) compliance.

· Apply OS/application patches and firmware updates, schedule maintenance windows and change control documentation.

· Manage file services, print services, and collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Exchange Online), ensuring uptime and data integrity.

· Harden systems based on security baselines; manage endpoint protection, EDR, and vulnerability remediation.

· Automate routine tasks using PowerShell/Bash; develop scripts for user provisioning, log collection, and compliance reporting.

· Support on premise or cloud services (Microsoft 365, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Go Daddy, etc.), including identity sync and conditional access policies.

C. Other Tasks

· Work with the Company’s Managed IT Services Provider on IT issues cannot be resolved in-house.

· Manage and update the Company’s computer asset master list and location maps.

· Since this position reports to the CFO, work on ad hoc projects as directed by the CFO.

Qualifications

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 2–5 years in IT support with at least 2 years administering Windows/Linux servers and Active Directory.

· Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management (Intune or equivalent), and ticketing systems.

· Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, VPNs, DNS/DHCP, and basic firewall concepts.

· Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools.

· Strong documentation skills and customer‑service orientation; ability to communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have)

· CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900), Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS‑900)

· Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC‑300) or Windows Server‑related certifications

· VMware or Hyper‑V virtualization certifications

Work Conditions

Onsite as required. Occasional after‑hours maintenance windows and on‑call rotation. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. for hardware moves. Must have transportation to travel between Company offices as needed. We have locations in Foothill Ranch and Corona.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
