We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer with strong MySQL expertise and a minimum of 5 years in PHP development. This remote position involves working on an enterprise-level application, focusing on architecture, design, development, and deployment. As a Senior PHP Developer, you will play a crucial role in building, optimizing, and scaling applications for high performance and reliability. You’ll collaborate closely with a cross-functional, U.S.-based team to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Back-End Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex PHP applications for enterprise use, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Database Management: Write, optimize, and manage complex MySQL queries, stored procedures, and indexes, with experience handling large-scale, high-availability databases.
• Enterprise-Level Application Development: Work as part of a team on a scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise application.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Apply coding best practices, perform code reviews, and uphold high standards of quality using design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Collaboration: Work closely with U.S.-based product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to deliver comprehensive, high-quality solutions. Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and technical support.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve complex issues, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure optimal application performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years in PHP development, with expertise in MySQL and back-end architecture.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of PHP 7+/8+ and MySQL, including complex query optimization and schema design.
• Enterprise-Level Experience: Demonstrated experience working on large, enterprise-level applications.
• Framework Proficiency: Strong experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
• Code Management & Testing: Proficient in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and unit/integration testing.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex issues.
• Collaboration and Mentorship: Proven experience working collaboratively and mentoring junior developers in a remote environment.
• Work Authorization: Must live and be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Front-End Familiarity: Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Vue.js or React) is a plus.
• Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP for application deployment and database management.
• Microservices Architecture: Experience with microservices and distributed system architecture.
• NoSQL Experience: Exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) is a plus.
