We are seeking a talented, highly motivated individual to join our Corporate IT team at our New York headquarters as a SQL Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of database management best practices, ensuring SQL server health across dozens of servers, in both on premise and cloud environments.

Within this role you will:

• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Collaborate with the team to provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• Have a bachelor's degree or master's in computer science or information services
• Have a minimum of five (5) years hands on experience supporting MS SQL servers
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
• Experience setting up cybersecurity measures and compliance settings.
• Should have experience setting up SQL Server transactional replication.
• Should be able to remedy replication related issues.
• Must possess outstanding interpersonal and communications skills to successfully interact as a member of the database team and various development teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work with highly technical teams across a diverse technical discipline (development, engineering, documentation, communication, etc.)
• MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus.
• Experience with tools such as but not limited to Delphix, Idera and MetaCenter a plus.
• Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Flexible, team player, "get-it-done" personality.
• Ability to organize and plan work independently.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, for high-cost labor markets such as but not limited to New York City, with final offer amount, is $125,000 - $145,000 annually, and will be dependent on education, skills, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
