Full time – in office required / Mon- Fri

We are looking for a high-energy and talented individual to drive our IT systems to the next level!

The successful candidate will design, implement, and manage information network and end user support systems. You will provide leadership and total support to ensure the highest level of customer service. Your focus will be to impress the entire user base with the speed, simplicity, and reliability of the information systems. We work with a large variety of clients – which offers a ton of opportunity in the work you will do and the problems you will solve.

Located in Canton (Belden Village area), Himebaugh Consulting has a history of over 30 years in the IT industry. We are a primary provider of design, development, configuration, implementation and integration in the areas of software, web, systems and networking. Our team has a depth and breadth of experience seldom seen in one company as we service a variety of clients in NE Ohio. The average tenure of our staff is 10+ years. Your primary responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration and support of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Configuration of Microsoft Active Directory (AD).
  • Configuration Microsoft Group Policy (GPO) for customers as required.
  • Management and Installation of various anti-virus solutions.
  • Management and Installation of various backup solutions (Veeam knowledge is a plus).
  • Installation, configuration and support of Microsoft Exchange server (both on-premise and Microsoft 365).
  • Installation, configuration and support of Amazon EC2, Amazon Lightsail, and Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Support and configuration of various virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Proxmox.
  • Respond to customer support requests.
  • Perform service calls as necessary to customers if remote support cannot resolve an issue.
  • Minimal on call responsibility – approximately one week per month.

Skills required for this role:

  • Microsoft Windows Server operating systems (including deep understanding of Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO) and Remote Desktop Services / Terminal Services)
  • Microsoft Exchange Server (operation, management, as well as knowing how to do Microsoft Exchange migrations and installs)
  • Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon EC2
  • Virtualization experience (VMware vSphere ideally, but Hyper-V and Proxmox are also welcome)
  • Software (common applications, Microsoft SQL Server would be a plus)
  • At minimum a basic understanding of networking concepts.
  • Typing skills - Adept at responding quickly and succinctly, using emails and Word documents.

Additional preferred skills – but not mandatory:

  • Scripting, use of PowerShell
  • Networking in general, but with specific experience in Cisco routers and Cisco switches, VLAN's, firewalls such as Cisco ASA/Firepower, etc.
  • Hardware experience (servers, tape drives, high-end UPS’s, etc., as well understanding how to configure and support RAID, updating firmware, diagnosing failures, etc.)
  • Some level of physical “handiness” as we do get into cabling jobs and other infrastructure type work
  • Mechanical aptitude – having practical skill and knowing how things work.
  • Asterisk Phone systems / Telephony experience
  • Linux knowledge
