Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile IT professional to manage, maintain, and optimize our organization’s technology infrastructure. This role covers a broad range of IT functions, including systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, user support, and technology planning. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can balance day-to-day support with long-term strategic improvements. Construction industry background a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Initially, the role will include liaising with our outsourced IT company to understand our infrastructure with the goal of turning over all IT systems & administrative functions to our internal specialist.
Systems & Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, cloud environments, and virtualized systems.
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and business continuity planning.
- Monitor and optimize performance, capacity, and availability across IT infrastructure.
Network Administration
- Oversee LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Implement and maintain network security policies and access controls.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across multiple platforms.
Cybersecurity
- Manage endpoint protection, intrusion detection, and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with security standards (ISO, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, etc. as relevant).
- Lead incident response, threat analysis, and remediation efforts.
User & Technical Support
- Develop internal helpdesk service process
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for hardware, software, and application issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and user training materials.
- Support onboarding/offboarding of employees, including account provisioning and permissions.
Technology Strategy & Projects
- Evaluate and roll out new industry related technologies and tools to improve productivity and security.
- Lead or support IT projects such as cloud migrations, system upgrades, or software rollouts.
- Manage relationships and installations with external vendors and service providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–7+ years in IT administration, systems engineering, or network management.
- Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and backup/recovery tools.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITIL) frameworks.
- Relevant certifications a plus (MCSA, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CISSP, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
