Job Overview
The Solution Architecture Lead is a strategic, hands-on role responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating complex business needs into clear, detailed technical specifications and solution designs. This role combines aspects of a Business Systems Analyst and Solution Architect, focusing on requirements clarity, technical documentation, and guiding development teams.

You will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams—ensuring solutions are well-defined, scalable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards. Your work will enable rapid, high-quality development and migration efforts, supporting our ongoing modernization and client migration initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering & Clarification: Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business and technical requirements. Conduct workshops, interviews, and review sessions to ensure clarity and completeness.
  • Create Technical Specifications: Develop comprehensive, unambiguous documentation including user stories, process flows, data models, interface specifications, and detailed technical designs that developers can work from confidently.
  • Solution Design & Validation: Translate complex business needs into scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions. Collaborate with Solution Architects and Platform Engineering to align designs with enterprise architecture and standards.
  • Facilitate Communication: Act as the primary translator between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring mutual understanding and that requirements are testable, traceable, and aligned with project goals.
  • Support Development & Testing: Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood, testable, and implemented correctly. Review designs and prototypes to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Identify Gaps & Risks: Detect ambiguities, gaps, dependencies, and risks in requirements early. Propose mitigation strategies and work with stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Ensure Compliance & Standards: Incorporate security, privacy (PHI/PII), and regulatory requirements into all specifications and designs.
  • Migration & Transition Support: Assist in planning and supporting client migrations to new platforms, ensuring requirements are clear, and solutions are scalable.
  • Promote Best Practices: Advocate for and implement requirements management, documentation standards, and technical governance across teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance requirements processes and solution design.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a hybrid role involving requirements analysis, systems analysis, solution design, or solution architecture.
  • Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document complex requirements, translating them into detailed technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, DevOps, and cloud architectures (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, product managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, X-Ray, and requirements management platforms.
  • Knowledge of security, compliance (PHI/PII), and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in print/media, digital platforms, or customer communication solutions.
  • Background in AI-powered documentation, testing, or automation tools.
  • Experience leading requirements workshops and designing scalable solutions for complex enterprise environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
