Job description

Job Description:

  • 1. Define and Track ROI Metrics
  • Develop standardized frameworks to quantify the performance and ROI of AI/ML projects across various healthcare domains.
  • Establish baselines, targets, and monitoring processes to measure project impact that help guide ongoing investment decisions.
  • AI/ML Performance Evaluation
  • Construct and maintain robust performance dashboards and reports highlighting AI/ML model accuracy, precision, recall, and other project-specific metrics such as operational effectiveness, cost savings, and patient outcomes.
  • Analyze model performance and operational metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of improvement.
  • Work closely with other data scientists and the software engineering team to drive the implementation of model retraining, adjustments, and fixes as needed.
  • Data Analysis and Dashboard and Report Development
  • Utilize programming languages like Python and SQL to build and maintain production-level code necessary for defining and tracking ROI and AI/ML performance metrics.
  • Create data exploration, cleaning, transformation scripts as necessary to support defining robust metrics applicable to each AI/ML projects across diverse healthcare data sources (e.g., EHR data, claims data, patient outcomes).
  • Employ statistical techniques necessary to draw conclusions about AI/ML solution effectiveness and evaluate the tangible benefits of AI/ML projects in the areas of patient care quality, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with clinicians, administrators, IT professionals, and executive leadership to identify pain points where AI/ML can drive high-impact solutions.
  • Communicate technical findings and ROI implications to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate data science solutions into existing workflows and measure post-implementation success.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current with emerging trends in machine learning and healthcare analytics, recommending enhancements to data science and ROI tracking methodologies.
  • Actively contribute to the growth and development of HMH’s data science team culture by sharing best practices.
