TITLE: DevSecOps Engineer
TYPE: Permanent
LOCATION: New Castle, DE
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Hybrid-Tues, Weds, and Thurs onsite

We are looking for a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join a dynamic Research and Development team, supporting the ongoing advancement of complex thermal analysis and rheology technologies. This role is essential in strengthening secure development environments, improving embedded software workflows, and maintaining modern DevSecOps infrastructure.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain Yocto-based Linux environments for embedded systems
  • Customize Linux distributions and manage build layers using Yocto tools and recipes
  • Diagnose and resolve build failures efficiently
  • Explore and incorporate new tools and frameworks to enhance automation and integration pipelines
  • Design secure, automated workflows for development, testing, and deployment phases
  • Oversee infrastructure security measures and monitoring systems
  • Develop comprehensive documentation covering processes, security standards, and workflow automation
  • Advise teams on best practices for cloud and on-premise security configurations, including IAM and system hardening
  • Collaborate with QA and security teams to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance
  • Engineer and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, and Artifactory
  • Implement effective version control practices tailored to embedded development environments
  • Contribute to the enhancement of engineering tools and workflows to support secure and efficient operations
  • Provide mentorship on DevSecOps methodologies and secure coding practices
  • Participate actively in team meetings, technical reviews, and collaborative projects
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Minimum of five years of experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for embedded Linux applications
  • Strong scripting capabilities (Python, Bash, BitBake)
  • Deep understanding of identity and access management (IAM) and cloud security practices
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools including GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, and Artifactory
  • Hands-on experience with system logging, performance monitoring, and optimization tools
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code and CI/CD integration best practices
  • Experience generating Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) through automated build systems
  • Comfortable working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Understanding of embedded systems architecture and development workflows
  • Exposure to automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or Datadog
  • Certifications in cloud or cybersecurity disciplines are a plus
