Job description
Adsync Technologies is currently seeking an experienced mid-senior level Database Developer/DBA that will support the Naval Sea Logistics Center located in Kittery, ME. This position can be on-site, hybrid or fully remote.

The Database Developer/DBA is responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining software applications. This includes writing code, collaborating with team members, and addressing issues that arise during the software lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage schema objects (Create, Modify, Delete)
· Writing PL/SQL code, packages, procedures, and triggers
· Create, Modify, Delete user defined objects such as tables, views, functions, cursors, and constraints, indexes, synonyms
· Understand Grants and how they work.
· Create, Modify, delete database roles, understand how to grant/revoke privileges from them and how to grant/revoke them from users.
· Knowledge of how to test validity of new code in stored procedures, packages, triggers, views …
· Knowledge of how to test validity of changed code whenever a modification is made, not just in code but roles, granted or revoked privileges etc…
· Data Mining
· Generate and understand data models
· Expert ability to write SQL to retrieve, organize and manipulate data
· Ability to use SQL to write reports
· Be familiar with Oracle tools such as SQL Developer and Toad.
· Working knowledge of SQL*Loader and Data Pump
· Experience with performance tuning including explaining plans, statistics and query optimization.
· Knowledge of partitioning, materialized views and indexes.
· Understand what the Oracle SYS, SYSTEM, USERS, and ALL schemas are
· Understand Oracle DBMS packages
· Understand Oracle Import/Export process and how it can be used to help develop.
· Understand the Oracle SYS and SYSTEM privileges and how to determine granting them to developers.
· Understand how to create oracle accounts for the developers and for the users of a front-end application.
· Understand how to create proxy accounts
· Understand what Oracle STIGS are and how to develop within the STIG rules.
· How to approach a modification change to a Production Oracle Backend Database
· Understand the 3 platforms of development, DEVELOPMENT, TEST and PRODUCTION
· Proficient in all aspects of Oracle RMAN
· Familiar with all performance tuning and diagnostic tools – diagnostic and tuning packs.
· Proficient with Oracle Advanced Security options and implementation.
· Use of Data Pump to import/export data
· Able to install, configure and upgrade Oracle database – 19c and 21c.
· Familiar with container and pluggable databases and database management.
· Able to manage storage including logical and physical storage constraints.
· Requires strong troubleshooting and performance maintenance skills.
· Experienced in database patching and automation.
· Able to design and execute a high availability database architecture.
· Other job assignments pertaining to contract support.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with Web Development and design
· Security+ Certification
· Programming proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, JAVA, C++, JavaScript)
· Testing and debugging by identifying and fixing errors, and ensuring software stability
· Proven knowledge of understanding and working with databases.
· Familiarity with frameworks like React, Angular or Vue
· Clear communication with team members
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field or 10 years of direct experience in Web Development and Design
