Job Description:
The Network / Systems Engineer plays a key role in managing both internal systems and customer-facing environments. This role involves supporting servers, networks, cloud environments, and end-user devices, while also ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and well documented.
You’ll work closely with the Infrastructure Manager and Service Desk Team, often operating independently, to provide timely technical support and proactive system administration. Strong organizational skills, client service skills, and the ability to learn quickly are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Functions:
- Log daily time entries (minimum of 8 hours) in ConnectWise.
- Provide technical support at the network level (LAN/WAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, security).
- Support and troubleshoot Microsoft core business applications, Citrix, VMware, and virtual environments.
- Administer and maintain disaster recovery and backup solutions.
- Manage remote monitoring and management (RMM) systems: monitor dashboards, respond to alerts, update scripts, and conduct system reviews.
- Document systems and provide consulting services (network/system reviews, recommendations).
- Investigate and resolve escalated technical problems promptly.
- Provide accurate time estimates for tasks and communicate effectively with team members.
- Stay current with emerging technologies through self-study and training.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd-level support and on-site coverage when required.
- Accurately enter time and expenses in ConnectWise in real-time.
- Complete ConnectWise University training and adhere to service processes.
- Work occasional overtime, on-call shifts, holidays, or weekends.
- Lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

- Professional IT certifications preferred: CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, Comptia S+, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Citrix CCEA/CCIA, Cisco CCNA, VMware VCP, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, business applications, printing, and networking.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls (SonicWALL, WatchGuard, Fortinet, NetGear) and wireless technologies.
- Experience with server operating systems, enterprise email, and Windows workstations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (phone, written, and customer service).
- Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly, and thrive under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of professional IT experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
