Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Level 3 IT Technician who demonstrates strong initiative, technical leadership, and a consistent drive to improve systems and processes. This role serves as a senior technical authority and project owner, responsible not only for resolving complex issues but also for leading infrastructure initiatives, mentoring junior staff, and driving projects from planning through execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the highest tier of technical escalation, owning complex issues through full resolution
- Demonstrate initiative by proactively identifying infrastructure risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Lead and execute technical projects, including planning, task sequencing, stakeholder communication, and delivery
- Perform server rebuilds, migrations, and recovery operations with minimal business impact
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365, including tenant configuration, security controls, and licensing
- Manage identity and device ecosystems using Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Intune, and Apple Business Manager
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, DNS, and RDS environments
- Design, deploy, and support BCDR Backup and disaster recovery strategies, including testing and documentation
- Architect and maintain network infrastructure using VLANs, VPNs, Switches, and Firewalls
- Manage domain and email routing services, including DNS and MX Records
- Develop automation and administrative tooling using PowerShell scripting
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians
- Drive accountability and quality by documenting systems, procedures, and project outcomes
Required Skills & Competencies/Technical Skills
- Advanced experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, and Microsoft Intune
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, RDS, and authentication services
- Networking expertise including VLANs, VPNs, firewall and switch configuration
- Hands-on experience with Datto BCDR Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
- Experience supporting Moody Switches and Moody Firewalls
- Proficiency with Apple Business Manager
- Strong PowerShell scripting capabilities
- Solid understanding of Microsoft and cloud licensing models

Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive IT support or systems administration experience
- Experience in an MSP or multi-client environment
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, networking, security) are a plus
- Prior experience leading infrastructure or migration projects

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
