Job Title: Data Scientist – Clinical Signal Analysis
Location: Burlington, MA (Preferred Onsite; Remote considered based on qualifications)
Salary: $130K+ based on years of experience
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to collaborate with clinical experts in analyzing complex datasets and developing efficient algorithms that deliver actionable diagnostic insights for guiding effective treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF). This role combines advanced data science techniques with deep domain knowledge in cardiac electrophysiology to support innovative medical device development.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute analytical and digital signal processing tasks, including:
- Data preparation, analysis, visualization
- Descriptive statistics, linear regression
- Time and frequency domain signal analysis
- Analyze pre-clinical and clinical electrogram data for technology assessment, clinical collaborations, and device development using Python, C++, and related tools.
- Design and implement complex data processing pipelines for large-scale datasets.
- Develop algorithms for electrophysiological signal processing to enable creation of 3D electroanatomical maps.
- Evaluate, document, and integrate signal processing algorithms into final products in collaboration with software developers.
- Build applications to optimize analysis of pre-clinical and clinical EP study data.
- Cultivate and apply deep understanding of clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
- Stay current with technological advances in the medical device industry.
- Identify and document intellectual property opportunities.
- Work within regulated environments, adhering to design control practices and generating controlled documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Biomedical Engineering (BME), Computer Science (CS), or related technical fields with strong computational fundamentals.
- 3+ years of relevant experience (preferred for candidates with Bachelor’s degree).
- Proficiency in Python (required); C++ experience preferred.
- Experience with:
- Real-time biological signal analysis and processing
- Machine learning techniques
- Cardiac signals, including intracardiac electrograms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in both:
- Fast-paced, early-stage startup environments with fluid requirements
- Regulated, process-driven commercial settings.

Pay: From $130,000.00 per year
