Overview:
This position develops custom programming solutions including providing programming and applications development; codes and tests using existing System Development Life Cycle Standards; performs knowledge transfer and training to business application groups. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Develop application systems; this includes preparing requirement specifications, analysis, design, coding, implementation and test components of applications as assigned, and according to defined application requirements
- Responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, evaluating, and documenting application development using .NET framework with Oracle databases
- Design and implement elegant, highly quality applications with simple customer experience
- Participate in group application design activities
- Prepare application system documentation and materials for the business application groups and users
- Maintain active communication with the group manager and other developers about project status, timeline and details
- Maintain active communication with the users of the application system about desired features, bug control and project status
- Ensure Leviton Change Control standards and policies are adhered to
- Stay current on latest software and development technologies and actively seek educational experience to better ones knowledge base and productivity
- Other responsibilities deemed necessary by management
- Working knowledge of .NET, JavaScript, JSON, HTML, CSS, Java
- Experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, along with internal and external customers and key stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions
- Ensure accuracy in work product, documentation, and processes to maintain high standards
- Provide excellent service to internal and external customers
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Computer Science required
- Previous internship required (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- Basic knowledge about programming and relation databases (Oracle and SQL Server)
10% overall; may be significantly higher during duration of a project
