We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our systems administration group. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing infrastructure for an information security company You will work collaboratively across the company, engaging with security analysts and software developers to design and implement efficient and effective solutions.
This position is remote, but with an option to work in an office setting in Sturgis, SD if desired.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Utilize infrastructure as code (e.g. Pulumi, Terraform) and configuration as code (e.g. Salt Stack, Ansible) for infrastructure automation and management.
- Deploy resources to DigitalOcean, AWS, and Azure.
- Utilize Packer to build standardized images for use in automation.
- Develop and maintain applications using shell scripting, Python, and Golang to support our infrastructure needs.
- Instrumenting, logging, and metrics monitoring (e.g. Elastic, Prometheus, etc.) in existing applications and infrastructure.
- Implement and manage Docker containers and deployments.
- Collaborate with security analysts and developers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of infrastructure and applications.
- Work with BHIS customers to troubleshoot and support deployments in various networks and environments, as needed.
- Work independently in a distributed work setting, demonstrating self-motivation and effective communication skills.
Qualifications
- Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms including DigitalOcean, AWS or Azure.
- Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer, with an optional focus on Cyber Security.
- Strong experience in “GitOps” in GitLab environments.
- Strong experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Salt Stack, and Ansible.
- Strong experience with instrumenting, logging, and metrics monitoring.
- Strong experience programming in either Python or Golang.
- Strong experience with Docker.
- Strong experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity using git for version control.
- Familiarity with Bash scripting.
- Optional experience with React, Packer, and Proxmox.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Ability to work United States business hours.
