Under limited supervision, performs network administration & planning for all aspects of IT-network infrastructure - to include network equipment, servers, PCs, phones, and software applications. This position is a “one man IT department”. Knowing a little about everything will help you succeed in this position.
The pay range for this position should be between 66,500K-75K
Essential Job Functions
- Perform a wide range of network administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for Cisco & Ubiquiti network equipment.
- Aid in the configuration of core and peripheral network devices, which will require continuous learning of new devices
- Set up user accounts and passwords
- Set up user e-mail and domain security access
- Set up user key card access
- Install and integrate new server hardware and software applications
- Image and deploy new desktops and laptops
- Manage printer deployments
- Maintain VOIP administration, upgrades, and support
- Proactive monitoring of all network devices, services, and servers using a combination of tools to ensure high availability
- Developing, implementing, testing, and keeping disaster recovery plans.
- Manage & troubleshoot network connectivity throughout the organization.
- Create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Manage & maintain relationships with third-party vendors
What we are looking for:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security preferred but not required
- CCNA/CCNP preferred but not required
- Associates Degree in Networking, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or related work experience, at least 4 years
- Experience with Windows Server administration including, but not limited to, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WSUS
- Scripting such as batch files, bash, and PowerAutomate experience a plus
- Experience with Linux Server administration including, but not limited to, Apache, MySQL, PHP, FTP, WordPress
- Experience with VMWare, SAN administration
- Knowledge and experience with Cloud technologies- Office 365, Azure, Digital Ocean, and Vultr
- Experience with FreePBX, pfSense/OPNSense firewalls
- Experience/knowledge of VPN technologies such as OpenVPN and Wireguard
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Network Administration
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organization
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
- Strong documentation skills
- Candidate will be on call and should be available for infrequent after hours/weekend support
- The ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- The desire to learn and grow
