About the Role:
We are sourcing Software Developers to support a high-profile project for the Illinois State Police. These are full-time, onsite roles based in Springfield, Illinois, operating on a standard Monday to Friday schedule. The contracts are initially set for 6 to 12 months, with the potential for extension.

What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level applications.
- Use .NET Core, ASP.NET, and C# to build secure, scalable solutions.
- Implement front-end functionality using HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Work with Microsoft SQL Server and Entity Framework for data-driven applications.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to iterative development cycles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of software development experience in .NET Core, ASP.net, C#, and MS SQL Server.
- Solid experience with MVC or MVVM design patterns.
- Strong front-end development experience using modern web technologies.
- Proven knowledge of MS SQL Server, including stored procedures and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with IIS, Team Foundation Server (TFS), and version control best practices.
- Background working in Agile, Scrum, or Iterative development environments.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Public or private sector experience (3+ years).
- Ability to think critically and creatively to resolve technical challenges.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with government clients or in the public sector.
- Previous work in an enterprise or highly regulated environment.
Location Requirement:
All developers must be able to work onsite at 801 S. 7th Street, Springfield, IL. Remote work is not available for this position.
