Job description

Technical Solutions Architect

Are you an experienced technology professional looking for something new?

musa Technology Partners is looking for an individual who has passion and talent for architecting or designing technology solutions. This person will be able to articulate past successes in solving complex technical problems and using technology to address difficult organizational challenges. This person will serve as an experienced resource in the Solutions Architecture organization at musa, simultaneously designing internal and client-focused solutions and serving as a key resource around strategic application of technology for musa and for our clients.

Company Overview

Founded in 2007, musa Technology Partners is not your typical managed service provider – we’re on a mission to do IT differently. We specialize in serving clients in biotech, life science, and in other regulated industries—where we have aggressive plans to expand verticals—delivering full-service IT solutions that include hands-on end-user support, secure cloud management, professional services and strategic consulting services. We stand out by prioritizing trust, expertise, transparency, and long-term relationships over one-size-fits-all solutions.

We’re proud that our SOC 2 Type 2 compliance has been independently audited and confirmed, demonstrating our commitment to security, accountability and operational excellence—values that matter deeply to our clients and our team.

Job Description

The Technical Solutions Architect will support musa’s clients by leading the effort to develop technology roadmaps, reviewing clients’ IT infrastructures with an eye toward upcoming needs, recommending appropriate new technologies and supporting clients’ overall technology vision.

Architects drive the process of scoping all client project work, designing the high-level plan for the project, getting buy-in from internal musa resources that will be involved in project execution, and writing statements of work for client approval. Projects often involve implementing new technology solutions, and our Architects’ expertise as technology leaders is a competitive advantage that musa can provide to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Understand our clients’ strategic and business goals
  • Become and act as each client’s trusted technical advisor
  • Develop a technology roadmap and budget for each client, aligning technology and solutions to clients’ business lifecycles
  • Work with the Account Management team to pre-scope technical work to the client’s specifications.
  • Write statements of work, reviewing for accuracy, identifying “scope creep” and patently “out of scope” tasks, and keeping all stakeholder teams engaged in the process
  • Work with Account Managers to draft client Strategic Business Reviews, including risks to the client, technology recommendations, and roadmaps
  • Oversee client projects from initial proposal to project completion
  • Work with project engineering teams to ensure musa delivers strategic value and joy to our clients
  • Make each client aware of any business risks within their technology environment and develop a strategy to mitigate those risks
  • Assist Account Managers in communicating the value of technical solutions to our clients

Engineering Responsibilities:

  • Participate in technical solutions implementation, where appropriate
  • Participate in onboarding new partners
