Accudynamic is a leading CNC machining manufacturing company committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-operating facility. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Plumbing Assistant to join our maintenance team. This role will support licensed plumbers and facility staff with plumbing installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Position Summary:
The Plumbing Assistant will provide hands-on support with day-to-day plumbing work in our manufacturing facility. Duties include assisting with installations, troubleshooting, and repairs of water systems, fixtures, and piping. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who wants to gain industrial plumbing experience while working under skilled professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems.
- Support preventive maintenance activities on facility plumbing infrastructure.
- Prepare tools, materials, and work areas for plumbing tasks.
- Perform basic repairs (e.g., unclogging drains, replacing washers, tightening fittings).
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment under supervision.
- Follow blueprints, drawings, and instructions from licensed plumbers or supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and safety standards, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Document work performed and communicate updates to the maintenance team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous plumbing or maintenance experience preferred but not required; willing to train the right candidate.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Ability to work safely and follow directions.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for long periods.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, valves, and fittings.
- Interest in pursuing a plumbing apprenticeship or trade license.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive pay based on experience and licensing.
- Project-based schedule (specific hours/duration to be discussed) but 40+ hours per week for 6 to 10 weeks. Eligible for overtime when required.
