Job description

The Position:
The Senior IT Manager will be responsible for and have managerial responsibility over the operation and maintenance of the company's information technology and systems administration. In addition, the managerial nature of the position will require monitoring of all internal IT-related operations, as well as new initiatives, to ensure general compliance with US and global-level cybersecurity standards. The person in this role will set up, administer, and troubleshoot all aspects of information systems including, but not limited to, networking hardware and applications, company-issued computers, and software applications. The Senior IT Manager will also be required to comment on and/or approve items that relate to cybersecurity. These items may be broad in nature, as Sungrow operates under a highly developed international information technology infrastructure both in terms of general IT administration and also on a product-specific level pertaining to Sungrow’s solar inverter and battery energy storage systems divisions.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic IT Leadership
  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with organizational goals and support long-term growth.
  • Oversee general IT administration, working closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure compliance with U.S. and global standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with HQ in China, the U.S.-based cybersecurity team, and other stakeholders to align local initiatives with global standards and requirements.
  • Prepare for the eventual transition of CRM/ERP operations from HQ to local management, including team building and process planning.
IT Operations & Support
  • Lead internal IT support, including troubleshooting and assistance for hardware, software, networking, ERP/CRM, and product-related applications.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including hardware provisioning, account creation, and software access.
  • Oversee user account management, license allocation, and the evaluation of new software tools.
  • Maintain and track IT assets, primarily laptops and peripherals.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Partner with the cybersecurity team to maintain compliance with ISO 27001 and other data protection requirements.
  • Support cybersecurity awareness across the company and respond to employee security-related inquiries.
  • Monitor systems, applications, and hardware infrastructure to ensure ongoing compliance and security.
Systems & Infrastructure Management
  • Support network infrastructure planning and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and secure data handling.
  • Source, evaluate, and maintain SaaS and enterprise-level software solutions, including CRM systems, in line with business and compliance needs.
  • Participate in ERP and CRM migrations and system enhancement projects.
Projects & Process Improvement
  • Coordinate with HQ IT on software, hardware, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and document local IT protocols and workflows.
  • Resolve technical issues promptly using best practices and available resources.
  • Lead or contribute to special IT projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years’ experience with ERP and CRM systems.
  • 3–5 years managing IT helpdesk/support operations for internal teams.
  • 3–5 years in IT leadership roles.
  • Experience with ISO 27001 compliance.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office, networking, device configurations, and peripherals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with experience collaborating across cultures.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to build and scale a team as the role expands.
Education or Desired License and Certificates:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or closely related field from accredited university or college
