System Administrator

Because this position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, US Citizenship is mandatory.

As our System Administrator, you will manage and support the IT systems and networks that underpin our secure environment. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance with CMMC Level 2 requirements, ensuring our infrastructure is secure, reliable, and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and administer Windows servers, firewalls, endpoint devices, and network infrastructure.
  • Support and enforce IT policies and procedures that ensure compliance with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS 252.204-7012, and related requirements.
  • Implement and monitor security controls such as access management, system logging, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Work closely with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and IT Security to manage secure enclaves and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) environments.
  • Assist with internal and external audits; generate evidence for CMMC assessments.
  • Maintain and update documentation including system diagrams, SOPs, security plans, and incident response procedures.
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning.
  • Support users with troubleshooting and help desk requests in a secure environment.
  • Stay informed about new threats, CMMC updates, and emerging cybersecurity tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
  • 3+ years of experience in system/network administration in a secure or regulated environment
  • Working knowledge of CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or other federal compliance frameworks
  • Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain-level security
  • Experience with networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs)
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners, and log management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience with compliance tools
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent
  • Experience supporting DFARS-compliant IT environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
