Job Summary
We're looking for a skilled AI Automation Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you'll assess our current workflows in sales, underwriting, claims processing, customer service, compliance, commissions reconciliations and reporting, then implement AI-powered automations to reduce manual tasks, improve accuracy, and boost productivity. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone passionate about leveraging AI (e.g., tools like Zapier, Make.com, ChatGPT, RPA platforms, or custom ML models) to transform a traditional insurance agency into a modern, efficient operation. You'll work closely with our leadership and staff in our Mesa, AZ office.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a thorough audit of existing business processes (e.g., lead generation, policy quoting, customer onboarding, renewals, claims handling, and reporting).
- Design and implement AI-driven automations, including:
- Chatbots for customer inquiries and lead qualification.
- Automated workflows for document processing, data entry, and compliance checks using tools like OCR, NLP, or robotic process automation (RPA).
- Predictive analytics for risk assessment, customer retention, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Integration of AI tools with CRM systems Ezylnx and other insurance-specific platforms as well as other software like Google Suite.
- Build and maintain custom scripts/bots using no-code/low-code platforms (e.g., Airtable, Notion AI, Bubble) or programming languages (Python, Node.js).
- Train team members on new tools and monitor automation performance, iterating based on metrics like time saved, error reduction, and ROI.
- Ensure all automations comply with insurance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, state DOI rules) and data security best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging AI trends in the insurance industry and propose proactive improvements.
- Look for other ways to boost efficiencies and reduce work load for staff and leadership team.
- Create methods for crosschecking and streamlining commission reconciliation process
- Create dashboards and management tools.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in AI automation, process optimization, or digital transformation (preferably in insurance, finance, or a related field).
- Proficiency with AI tools and platforms: Zapier/Make.com, UiPath/Automation Anywhere (RPA), OpenAI APIs, Google Cloud AI, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in Python (with libraries like Pandas, LangChain, or Selenium) or JavaScript; experience with APIs and integrations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable results (e.g., 40-50% efficiency gains in previous roles).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with insurance industry processes is a strong plus (e.g., ACORD standards, carrier APIs).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with InsurTech tools or CRM integrations.
- Knowledge of machine learning for predictive modeling (e.g., customer churn prediction).
- Certification in AI/automation (e.g., Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer, UiPath Certified Professional).
- Ability to work independently in a small-team environment.
Location and Work Arrangement
- Primary location: Mesa, AZ In-office required for collaboration and process audits, team training, and continual improvements and strategy with leadership team.
