THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION FROM DECEMBER 2025 to AUGUST 2026

We are seeking a cleared professional (TS/SCI), experienced Senior Principal Cloud Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and security accreditation of advanced cloud infrastructure within the FENCES environment—a secure, isolated cloud system supporting high-compliance government operations.

Requirements:

• TS and SCI eligible
• 10 years cloud experience
• 5 years of experience leading projects
• Bachelor degree is minimum, prefer a technical masters degree in computer science or Cybersecurity
• Experience in the last five years
• At least two years of using eMASS on classified side (Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD))
• Recent AWS cloud experience and certifications (within last 12 months)
• 3 years’ experience in AWS cloud deployments
• Experienced in the agile framework and have led an agile team of at least 5 cloud engineers, preferable in AWS but Google or Azure
• Local to Hanscom AFB, MA , less than 10% travel
• Available on or about 15 Dec 25

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Design:

Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure cloud infrastructure within FENCES environments, leveraging AWS services and secure networking practices.

Infrastructure Build-Out:

Plan, implement, and optimize infrastructure for classified environments; integrate automation, monitoring, and resilience techniques (e.g., fencing, cluster management, and disaster recovery).

Security & Compliance:

Apply security hardening measures to cloud systems to meet IL5/IL6 compliance; manage and document controls within eMASS for accreditation.

FENCES Engineering:

Design and maintain isolated, multi-tenant, or geo-fenced architectures to ensure strict data sovereignty, access control, and application-level isolation.

Cluster & Data Fencing:

Implement node- and resource-level fencing (e.g., STONITH) to maintain high availability, prevent split-brain scenarios, and protect shared resources.
